Activites & Meetings

As older members of the Group, Scouts tackle more adventurous activities.  In addition they go on weekend camps and a seven day summer camp.

Scouts meet for 2 hours every week in term time and during the summer months spend most evenings out and about.

For the last 40 years our Scouts have been linked with a Troop from Denmark and every 2 years they meet up for a camp.  In summer 2009 some of our scouts and two Leaders spent 10 days in Denmark, with 5 days in camp and then experiencing Danish home hospitality.

Between the ages of 14 and 15, Scouts move on to join the District Explorer section.  Explorers are not part of our Group, but are run by Hitchin District Scouts.  For more information go to www.hitchinscouts.com.
