3rd Hitchin Scout Group - Beavers

Beavers are aged between six and eight years old, and are the youngest and first section of the Scouting Group.

Boys and Girls can join our Beaver Colony however, there is currently a waiting list, so if you have a child aged under 6 we suggest you contact us now to get their name added.

Uniform

The Beavers wear a blue sweatshirt and scout trousers.  They also wear the Group necker which is supplied when they are invested. 

Uniform to be worn to weekly meetings unless told otherwise by the Beaver Leader.  
- Turquoise crew neck sweatshirt
- Scout Navy blue activity trousers
- Group scarf and woggle 

Items (apart from Group Scarf and woggle, available from the Beaver Leader), can be purchased from the Scout Shop, Monday evenings from 6.00pm to 8.00pm and some Saturdays. Please click here for more information.
 

Activites & Meetings

Beavers enjoy many activities like playing games, crafts, going on visits and badge work.  They meet together once a week, during term time.

Beavers move to the next section, Cub Scouts, upon reaching the age of eight.
